First off, I'm so sorry that I haven't updated in a couple weeks. I've uh... Been doing other things. Hopefully Hat will be less busy in a week or so...


Second off, I recently purchased El Ten Eleven's debut album...


AND IT'S GREAT.


Seriously. I recommend this to anyone who likes awesome contained in musical format. The dude plays a double necked guitar/bass. I kid you not. He's that epic.

As for the actual music.... It's quite layered, with simple, repeated lines of guitar, bass, and weird synth sounds... The drums, both electric and acoustic, are fabulous. They complement the songs well, and aren't overly flamboyant, but shows technical skill when the music demands it.

You can really tell that both of the guys are having a lot of fun playing their music... It's all very emotional... Like a glum Friday when there's nothing to do but sit by yourself and think.

Although it can get a bit repetitive sometimes, as an album, it's pretty darn near perfect. I would recommend all of the tracks, and for those of you who are actually listening to me talk about this stuff, I would tell you to at least get "Sorry About Your Irony" and "Fanshawe". Both tracks are quite representative of the mix, and as standalone tracks, are quite brilliant, if I may say so.
